NETHERA (The Waste)

The Waste, formerly known as Nethera, is ground zero for the world’s earliest recorded apocalypse. Centuries ago, humans dropped a bomb of unknown material and origin into the center of Nethera, forming a large glass crater known as the Crystal Basin. The Waste has no government or laws, and is primarily inhabited by Furres, Imps, and other various outcasts of normal society. The Waste’s climate is typically harsh, leaving large parts of it completely uninhabitable, with most activity in the warmer parts of the west and south.

CALAREL

Calarel is a warm continent, south of the Waste, most of which was unharmed after the apocalypse that ravished its neighbor to the north. It is primarily made up of jungles and beachy climates, lending to the Forest Elves and Coastal Elves that make up the majority of its population. It tends to be less developed than other continents, but no less civilized, made up of rich cultures of elves and Salamanders. It is a common vacation destination, due to its climate and the hospitality of most of its residents.

MARAMOR

Maramor, the smallest continent in the Gigaverse, is made up of three countries. Only one of those countries, however, has any government whatsoever, as the rest are inhabited solely by the tricksy Fae. Fae have no desire to deal in humanoid politics, and their laws are their own - decided by the Seelie and Unseelie courts, whichever one happens to be ruling that area at the time. There are also colonies of Salamanders and Coastal Elves in these parts, but they would be wise to steer clear of the tricks of their pixie neighbors…

ALURRA

Holy Alurra, reigned over by the most supreme of beings - the Angels. While this continent may seem too small to house nearly every angel in the world, worry not. Alurra is also the most technologically advanced and developed continent in the world, with many of its cities built on floating platforms, hovering miles above the land. Because of this, it has one of the highest populations of any continent, with much of its Angel population high above the clouds. High Elves are also commonly native to these parts, though most are essentially slaves to the Angel cause. Due to a recently passed law, Angels and High Elves are now the only species welcome in Alurra… a law punishable by death.

IRROZ

The near polar opposite of Alurra, despite being its neighbor. Irroz is home to the majority of Demons, as well as Shadowalkers, though most of the continent falls under the jurisdiction of the High Council of Demons. It is a truely ‘free’ continent - though the Demons’ definition of freedom tends to be a little on the lax side. There are few official laws, though most ‘crime’ is dealt with by the masses, rather than authorities. You’ll learn quickly here that being a dick has consequences, and the residents of Irroz aren’t afraid to speak their minds… sometimes via their fists.

FOLWIN

A continent of forests and mountains, Folwin is a beautiful landscape home to almost every species of elf. With Forest Elves in the central forests, Cave Elves in the colder mountain climates, Shadowalkers to the south, and Coastal Elves along the coasts, you can be sure to find a colorful array of cultures throughout Folwin. The continent is home to Forest Elf colonies both small and large, with varying amounts of development; though, no areas of Folwin could really be considered technologically advanced.

KESI

The continent of Kesi is home to the majority of Desert Elves, with their gorgeous stone kingdoms sprawling across the sandy expanses of the north. Though, Desert Elves are not the only folk you can find in Kesi - it is also home to a country filled with High Elves… but not just any High Elves. A population of High Elves that, despite their stereotype, despise the Angels and everything they stand for. The High Elves of Kesi are just as civilized and proper as their Alurran counterparts, but choose to form their own culture, rather than follow the every whim of the Angels.

BATRYA

Batrya is a rough and arid continent full of not only Furres and Desert Elves, but some of the largest and scariest beasts on the planet. Once an uninhabitable landscape of terror, the Anti-Angel Alliance decided to dump the remnants of their most regretful creation there: the Furres. But rather than die out, the Furres learned to thrive. Working alongside the Desert Elves that burrowed underground, the Furres formed a functioning nation, much to the dismay of just about everyone else on the planet.

VALLEY OF REPHAIM

Once a grand, flourishing continent, the Valley of Rephaim was once home to the perfect species known as the Nephilim. But when the Nephilim began to butt heads, a horrible war began, ending in the near complete annihilation of the entire species - and with it, the annihilation of the beautiful landscape of the Valley. What remains today is a barren wasteland of swampy ruins, inhabited only by a lone few colonies of Cave Elves and their Dragon masters.
